24-bit Transparent PNG images in IE
For those of you who haven't seen 24-bit PNG transparent PNG images in action, they put "transparent" GIFs to shame. These have been around in Safari and Mozilla's browsers for a while but you have to implement a hack in order for them to work in IE. It's a beautiful thing when you see how these can be used. You can use opacity and you don't have to worry about a matte color. here's an example
