Dreamweaver MX and Div Layers
ok I'm using Dreamweaver MX and I'm using divs in my layout... i have a lot of text in it... and i set the divs to have a scrollbar...
<div style="position:absolute; padding:10 px; left: 120px; top: 34px; width: 167px; height: 162px; filter: chroma(color=#000000) overflow:auto;"> in IE the scrollbar shows up... how do i get it to show in dreamweaver... the div juss gets bigger to fit all the text...>.< this is kind of an HTML problem... but more related to Dreamweaver... it would really help if i knew why dreamweaver keeps doing this... Thanx in advance for any help |

Dreamweaver's Design View will show up on the Internet is close to the real thing but there are tons of exceptions. Placement of layers using coordinates is one of those exceptions. Check your page in IE and Netscape or Mozilla. If it works in those then it doesn't matter how Dreamweaver's Design View displays it.

thanx ^_^ i knew it worked but... i juss wanted to kno if I would be able to change settings or something cuz when I type in a lot of text and the div layer grows... I want to change the size of the div but there's no way to do that but to take out the text and resize it then put the text back in again... which is a big hassle...

do the more complex stuff from Code View always. Don't worry about what Deisgn View looks like at all.
