How to connect a database with an html file

Hi,
I am a student in the University of Strathclyde
for postgraduate studies and i need to connect an html file
with a database for my dissertation. Is anyone of you know
web pages that contain information about that?
Thank you very much,
Nikos

You can't connect an html page to a database.
The page would have to be done in ASP or some other scripting language.

You could use a php script in a server that passes php in a .html file and use a php page to connect to the database.
