How to disable plugins

hi. i have skype installed in my PC. Now, the web page i am working on contains a column of phone numbers. when i view the page, the phone numbers were accompanied by a flag of the US and a phone icon. it is a plugin of skype.

how can i disable this type of plugin so that the phone numbers i show on a table in my page wont be referenced by skype. thanks a lot.

That's a Skype setting, not an HTML thing.

You might be able to get round it by outputting the digits as alpha
or numeric entities instead of just plain text, but I don't really know.

Why do you want to change it though? Some users obviously want
Skype to behave that way - why should you be allowed to change
it for them?
