Lock a layer to a cell
I wonder if there is a way to lock a layer to a cell, or to an image inside a cell... I suppose there is, but haven't found anything...
Thing is, I have a table, 800px wide, centered on a page. In the top cell (that spans the 800px), I have an image, which is basically the page header. I want to put a couple of layers there with forms (login and search), but haven't found a way to do it without the layers moving around when resizing the page. Any1 know how to do this? |

Is there a particular reason that you need to use layers? I would suggest just putting the information all within the cell block itself and if the information needs to change, use DHTML to change the information.

Hi, I don't want to put the info in the cell, because the cell itself has an image in it. I have found out that using background images in cells doesn't work 100% with all browsers, but using images (not background ones) in cells does. Therefore, I wanted to use a layer to put a form on top of an image...

Okay, I understand that, however, layers really only work with IE not with Netscape or any other major browser. If you are looking for browser compatibility you are really much better off just using a background image.
