Populating textareas

Hi folks! Glad to be here. This is my first post and I am sorely in need of assistance. I have developed a web-based form for our companie's intranet. Employees all over the city have the ability to pull up my form and enter data. They can click a Save button on the form and continue to work later. The problem is, I used a textarea control, as a Summary box. I can retrieve data into all the other controls, text boxes, combo and check boxes, but the textarea box is a problem. I have been searching for a way to do this but so far no go. I cannot assign data to it's value property. It causes an error. I do not believe it has a value property. Please help, if you can. Thanks in advance.

indeed, <textarea> tag does not have "value" attribute.
instead, the text should be between the tags:
Code:
<textarea name="summary">hello world</textarea>

quick search in google for "textarea tag" bring this link as the second result:
http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_textarea.asp
simple, isn't it?
