Trouble with my target tag for frames

Hi
I would greatly appreciate some help here with my frames. I have a page with three vertical frames. One thin frame on the left hand side, another thin frame alongside it, and the main frame taking up the remainder of the space. I have a link on the main frame and I would like for it to replace the two outer frames and to leave the thin frame on the left hand side. Is there any target I can use to achieve this or do i have to go about it in another way.

thanks a lot.
