    Open new TAB not new window

    I have a situation where I have a main window that opens a "pop-up" wich contains information. Something I've done before is this, which causes the aprent to chang location and the popup to close

    Code:
    //script found in popup window
    window.opener.location='where I want it to go.htm';
    window.close();
    but now I want to do something different, i.e. have window.opener.location remain the same and a new TAB on the same level as window.opener open up. How do I do that?

    You can't really - it's up to the user to decide if they want new
    windows opened in new browsers or new tabs...
