access security

Hi all
I had one of those moments today when everything works fine on my home machine but it all went wrong on my network at work. Mmmmm.
Using access XP (saving in a 2000 format) I set up the databse security using the wizard. All worked fine. Then transfering it to an NT server at work (I don't know whether this is an issue or not) the data base opened with any security at all. In my attempt to fix it, I deleted the database (and the short cut) and then copied in a backup copy. I then joined the workgroup again (using the existing .mdw file) and still the security didn't work. Any ideas??
