There are many ways of connecting to an MS-Access database from an other MS-Access database. The connection possibilities vary from just linking tables to creating DAO or ADODB connections.

Can you be please more specific, and we can help.

I have a similar question, but I'll try to be more specific....

I want to link to tables on the host server so that I don't have to have copy of the db on my mahcine. I have done it before with MySQL databases, and the MySQL driver provides for logging in to the server with a host/IP name, database name, etc. I don't see those options when I choose MSAccess driver in the ODBC Data Source Adminstrator. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Charlie

Don't use an ODBC connection
In the database on your desktop that you want to link to the DB on the Network (provided that they are both MS Access)
Click on:

File
Get External Data
Link Table

Go find you Access DB on the Network
Select the table you wish to link to
Okay

You are now linked to all those tables

I guess that's where I have my problem; I don't understand how to "Go find your Access DB on the Network" - it is a remote host (web site), not a local or office network db.
