Database on a web site

Gday all

New comer to working with databases on a web site and the boss gave me the task the other day to do just that.

I have designed it well enough through Access (2002) and tested it - all worked excactly how i wanted it to. Tried to publish it through Dreamweaver, kept getting invalid file name. I then used Frontpage to publish it, also changed the data source name to point to the .mdb file on the web server, but now I am getting a message saying that 'An error occured trying to use ****. Check to see that the object exists.

I am at my wits end trying to work out what I have done wrong.

Can anyone help at all, maybe even the full steps I need to turn an idea into a reality.
