May be I'm ignorant, but I don't know what DFD is.
Would you be so kind to be more specific please so that we may help you.

DFDs (Data Flow diagrams) are very specific to the situation you are creating it for. Event organizations that are in the sameindustry will have different internal process, thus making the DFDs very different from one to another.
Level 0 and level 1 are probably the easiest for someone to create, becuase they are done at such a high level view. Essentially you view a DFD at level 0 as a blackbox. You identify all the inputs of the whole system and then identify all the outputs of the whole system. You don't need to know what happen to create the outputs, you just know that it happend Level 1 is almost the samething, but you will make the main processes into blackboxes, you will probably have 2-6 of these at this level You should really read up on these more and remember that data can not flow from a eternal source directly to internal storage and from one internal storage to another without going through a process. And data flow is always either a input to a process or output from the process. Also remember that not all processes are computerized. There is alot of information out there that can help you understand the theory of DFD's Good Luck S- |
