See attached file.
When I add a new record, this message appears. The database was set up by someone before he left the company. When I type in details in the form, it would not save them. But those details can be found in the table in which the form is based on. So I can actually fill the details in the table and they would appear in the form, not vice versa. I think it is a coding problem which I have no expertise in. I cannot send the database for commerical reason but I have pasted the coding module and the resultant message box. Paul |

To be honest, what it sound like is that one of your fields in the table has an index property of "Index(no duplicates)"
But at the same time, if you can enter it directly into the table then that would say that is wasn't the propblem Understanding you delima in not being able to send the DB, is there a way to send your table, form, and test data for us to look at the code behind the form. You form looks like standard bound form, but without being able to see the code it would be hard to diagnose the true problem. Good luck S- |
