Reports - Extra Blank Page Printing
I have a report that has only six or seven lines on it. It is the detail for an individual record. When the report is sent to print, it prints correctly, but the EU gets a second page (blank) processed through the printer. I've looked around the page set up and the properties for the report but can't seem to locate anything that would cause this. Any suggestions to fix this minor but annoying issue.

If you preview the report does it have 1 page or 2?
If the preview only shows one page then the most likely issue is the margin settings between your printer and the report. (e.g. The report is 7.75" wide, but the printer is set to .5" left and right margins resulting in a 7.5" printing width. If the preview shows 2 pages then it may also be a margin error (width or length). Or you may have a page break somewhere. These are tough to see and can be very annoying. Or it is printing a blank record. Or there is something in the grouping that is causing it. Or .... On occasion I've not been able to fix it and I just lived with putting the extra sheet back into the printer. <sigh> |

Solved:
The report was wider than the space available. It was set with default one inch margins on each side, thus leaving only 6.5 inches for the report. I narrowed the report by a little bit and it now prints correctly. |
