I have a file in excel that I want to export to Access and to do this I have a switchboard in Access where when u click on a command button it should export this spreadsheet into access. The command button sets off a macro (not sure if this is needed or if I just put some coding in the command button is sufficient) that should export the file but there are so many macro types I'm not sure which one to use and if its the right one. How would u go about it? Is this clear enough? ![]() |

I guess I am unsure about what you mean by " but there are so many macro types "
In Access you create a macro that will transfer your spreadsheet into Access (TransferSpreadSheet - import). Then from you switchbaird in Access you create a switchboard item that will execute the macro you just created. S- |
