Microsoft Jet Engine
-->>Microsoft Office Access<<----The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object ". Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly--
The above error occurs when using a input form I created to gather the location of a delimited excel file to be imported into access. It seems to fail at the line of code where I execute a, docmd.transfertext. The database was built in MS Access 97 where it was flawless and now converted to MS Access 2002, where it struggles to work. If you have any helpful information please let me know, thanks. |

If it is a delemited execl file, try transfering with
transferspreadsheet I don't have 2002, but I know that there are things that worked in 97 but don't work in 2000 becuase of the differences in code and DAO is transfertext a valid docmd in 2002? Sorry couldn't be more help. S- |

Access 2002 and 2003 will let you link a delimited excel spreadsheet but will not let you import it using the docmd.transfertext. I believe it has something to do with new security levels.
It is a valid command and transferspreadsheet does not allow you to import delimited excel files. |
