MS access report printing prob
ok .. my problem is this :
When i print a report it looks fine - but when distributing the database to clients the different printer sometimes forces the report over the width of the alowable margin - making the report print out on 2x the pages than it would normally require. I am continuously changing margins when the database is installed at new facilities, and had had enough ![]() is there a way i can automatically set it to print one page width only- so that if the printers margins cannot push it over the page??? Thanks Kris |

The problem with MS Access not remembering the page margins and gong back to the defaul 1" margin is a know problem with Access. You need SP2 or SP3 to fix this issue. The once you set the margins the first time they will always be remembers (they may need to be set once on each individual machine, but after the are set they will remain.
Another rule of thumb is to not set your margins smaller then .5"(unless you really need to), all printers can print with that margin setting and it won't adjust the margins to fit the different printers. S- |
