simple e-r reltionship chekcing required
I knwo this is really easy but can someone check this..
i am working backwards with this problem.. I hav result sheet with the headings (along with an example entry in brackets): Item naem(meeting arrange), Type(admin), date Issued(date), Issued by(Admin), action date(date later than date issued), Status(open) and Map(link). Can anyone help with by telling me what tables i need, along with any other helpo if possible? Thanks SUkh

More information is required, What do you want your DB to do besides being a overblown spreadsheet?

its an even planning management module for peopel to keep control of tasks assignedto users etc

I'm sorry, my question wasn't very clear. How do you want to do your data entry. Do you want user to select from a commom list of items, will it all be type in, etc
Aside from the items listed above, is there anythings else you want to include. Is there anything else that you think we should know to get you going in the right direction. S- |

hi, at the moment I just need to retrieve data based on the data under those fields. Im thinking would 1 table be suffice? or would there be repating culms after normalisation?

One table should be fine for you. The only reason I would add more tables at this stage is to make it easier to add items to a dropdowns that you make use to symplify data entry.
Start with that and see where you system requriements take you as users start to use it. S- |
