Tab down through a continuous form - through records THEN next field

Hi all,

Please excuse me if this is incorrect I am new to MS access and this Forum and appreciate any advice on posting.

I would Like the Tab key on the key board to take the cursor down through a continuous form then across and continue down the next field. I have looked all over the internet for answers but found only turning the "tab stop" to off. This only works when you only want to go down one of the columns (multiple records in one field)...
Does anyone have any VBA code or tips for the Tab key moving through all the records on a continuous form before being taken across to the other fields on the form (then being capable of going down the next field the same)?

the (standard) "Tab order" does obviously not work because it is a continuous form and Tab order doesn't have the option of down the records first.

thanks in advance for your time

Miki

I'm getting lost in your terminology.

Your data is on a continuous form and you want your tab key, at the end of each record, to move to the next record? or to stay on the current record? Or are you having issues with the TAB ORDER.

I can't really tell. On a continuous form when you hit tab from the last field in the TAB ORDER it automatically goes to the next record which makes me think your TAB ORDER needs to be modified. By default Access tabs through fields in the order you add them to your form but you can modify that either manually or by having Access figure it out.

In anything prior to Access 2007 the menu option VIEW>TAB ORDER is where you can find it. Auto order by default sorts fields from the upper left to the lower right going across your form first then down. But you can manually remodel the TAB ORDER if you want to.

In Access 2007 you go to the ARRANGE tab and TAB ORDER is available on the toolbar but has the same functionality as previous versions.
