updating excel from access
I wonder if anyone can throw some light on this.
I have an excel worksheet set up and i have an access database. I was wondering how to update the excel sheet by entering data into the access form. it is office xp i am using. thanks ![]() |

Hali,
Create the query/table you wish to be the source for your excel sheet. Open your excel file that you wish to be updated and go to Data -> Import External Data -> New Database Query menu path. Select MS Access Database... ...and the rest is obvious, the wizard will guide you. (Menu items in the English version may be different, I have Hungarian.) Each time a user opens the excel file it will prompt the user if she/he wishes to refresh the spreadsheet with the external data.

is there any way of formating the excel sheet so you can determin where the data is printed when it is imported

I am sure there's a way of doing it, but I'm afraid I can't help as I don't really know the Objects of Ecxel.
Others may help in this forum or if you can try to raise your question on other forums or an Excel forum. |
