Question Using the Object Browser

If I want to search for an object or method I assumed I should be able to search for it using the Object Browser but the results it returns are nonsensical to me.

For instance I want to create some code to format the data series in a chart so I type 'chart' or 'series' in the search box but nothing is found that seems to remotely match either. How should I be using the Object Browser and how do I use the results e.g. cut and paste?

I have limited knowledge of VBA but usually know what I want and sometimes basically how to do it but if I don't happen to know the name of the object and method I need I have to spend ages searching the often useless Help files or the Microsoft Knowledge base or post questions here. All of which wastes my time and that of other forum members!

I have a couple of books on learning VBA but neither lists all objects and methods and give little guidance on how to find what the user needs.

Very grateful for any help.

Mike Collard
