Help!
I want to create a validation rule in a table to ensure that the ProductName filed is not left blank. Any suggestions? Thank You Mairi |

You can put Field validation rule as
Is Not Null

In addition to validation rules you can change the properties of field in your table to force anykind of entry
Required = Yes S- |

I can see in Table / Design View under the General Tab a Validation Rule box for entering into.
I can't see any box for Properties there. I notice in Datasheet View the last row [with * at beginning] seems to contain some field relevant dat [e.g I see "(AutoNumber)" there in the column representing the fields of a datatype Autonumber I have in my table. Is that where you would type "Required = Yes"? |

In Table / Design View under the General Tab just below Validation rule
Validation text is there where you can enter message tobe displayed for invalid data and below that lies Required where in you can place either Yes or No. [QUOTE=xtrapont]I can see in Table / Design View under the General Tab a Validation Rule box for entering into. |
