550 5.7.1 Service not available

I'm using asp.net to send smtp mail thru my web application, it alwaz give me this error:

The server rejected one or more recipient addresses. The server response was: 550 5.7.1 Service not available: cece@hotmail.com

I'm using Win XP Pro, ASP.Net 2003 n IIS 5.0

Do I have to configure any setting on IIS b4 using the SMTP

have a look in the IIS snap in and check your SMTP server is running (right click SMTP then choose start if available) if on static ip make sure your ip address is assigned to it else leave it as all unassigned.

I could never get it to work with a dynamic ip

there are some free smtp server on http://www.download.com which are dead simple to use (must be I was able to use it :P)

go IIS snap in right click SMTP mail server then click delivery then the outpbound connections button and smtp port should be 25 your pop you need to set in your mail software (but you dont need to worry about that i dont think.

Click Access while you are in your smtp server propeties and click relay then make sure your ip is in the allowed list if not thats why its not working

click add enter your IP and ur done
