Try turning off script blocking in your Norton Antivirus.

Also in IE open Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Options and uncheck the "show friendly http errors" setting.

Take a look in the computer's event log, maybe there is an error logged there that will help you identify the problem.

Thanks guys.

I've tried both disable and uninstall Norton AntiVirus Script Blocking but it still does not work.

When i turn the friendly error message on:
Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.

I also found this in the event log:

The server failed to load application '/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT'. The error was 'The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password.

There is a way to change the user that's used by IIS, look around in the IIS MMC snapin (IIS service manager in administrative tools).

Cool IIS Error when ACCESSING ASP PAGES

Hello All,

Ive been having the same issue with my IIS configuration,
and been searching and searching for an answer, here is
what i found to work.
Goto your MMC,
Select your WEBSITE,
Right Click and goto (PROPERTIES)
In the HOME DIRECTORY TAB, Goto Application Settings
Then in APPLICATION PROTECTION, set it to LOW....
This may be a security risk, but it works!
