application pool failure
evening, i keep receiving these warnings...
Code:
A process serving application pool 'plesk(default)(pool)' terminated unexpectedly. The process id was '3560'. The process exit code was '0xc0000005'. I get five similar ones... The process id seems to change in each one, then after 5, i get a failure message Code:
Application pool 'plesk(default)(pool)' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool. I would like to know what process its talking about, im guessing it to do with one of the websites... but i cant find out where IIS logs what website has what process id, so i dont really understand how that error helps me find the issue ![]() anyone got any ideas... Appreciated Thanks |

sounds like problem with application called "plesk" installed in the server. searching the net, I realized this plesk thing is used to manage the IP addresses of the Server - so check this thing, uninstall it if needed or see maybe there is IP conflict.

plesk is hosting automation software.it makes managing shared hosting alot easier.... although it creates a default application pool that controls all the vhosts, this helps to lower demand on memory, by keeping everything together.. the only issue is... if one of the websites fails 5 times it takes them all down. I have now turned off the shared application pool, in an attempt to try and find out which customer is causing the issue. its a shame m$ dont know how to log thing properly |

I fear my knowledge in this area is zero, sorry... I only wonder why the heck they decided that when single website fails 5 times it would take them all down?! personally, I won't use such stupid "automation" but rather manage something of my own..

an application being disabled after 5 failures is a standard IIS function. nothing to do with the automation software.
IIS is a nightmare to manage as a hosting provider without software tbh. |

so I wonder how the big hosts are managing their servers?? can't be they're using such thing... or can it?
