Authentication Prompt / Folder Security -> 402.1 error
Hi

I have an ASP application which uses folder security (Prompt with login on local server). This application works fine for everyone. No body experience problems connecting to the web site (that is troughout Canada in 10 different cities and in Brazil).

One specific use can't access the application. This person tried to access the web page from his laptop outside the his workplace and it worked fine. We managed to find out the that problem is related to his building, therefore related to the network. (it is not internet explorer security settings). The user tried to access the website from many different computer in the building and nothing happens. The person gets 402.1 error.

What could cause such a problem on a network? Is there any way to fix this? Unblocking ports, proxy, firewall?

Any hint would be appreciated.

I have no idea, other than it's probably not an iis issue. Maybe something in this google search will help
