Talking cannot connect to server

I am working on VS.NET for my website. I want others to
view my website at their own computer. I know that by
locating at
http://myipaddress/myprojectname/myfilename.aspx will come
to my website. But dont know why, all my friends tell me
that they cannot access due to the problem like "cannot
access the server" I tried to ping my ip and found that
that ip should be the correct one. (the one I found in
ipconfig) I started the virtual directory in IIS already.
so I really cannot figure out what is the problem. Can
anyone please suggest some solutions?

If your friends are outside your LAN, probably you haven't allowed port 80 to get through your firewall. Or, if you're on a cable modem maybe your cable company is blocking port 80
