Angry Cannot Display Page

I have an Xp Pro Sp1 running IIS 5.1 and .net framework 1.1 and I cannot display for the life of me any asp pages or anything outside of simple html pages. Tried everything. Starting to doubt my intelligence and commit to a life of burger flipping. Please Help!

are you trying to display asp pages or asp.net pages?
If the .NET framework has been installed, make sure it has been registered with iis by running aspnet_regiis -i from the command line from the location of the aspnet.exe file.

If you need more help do a search on this site for aspnet_regiis.

Ran aspnet_regiis. Everything seemed to go smooth but I still cannot view asp pages. I open my browser to Http://localhost/iisstart.asp and get a page cannot be displayed 500 error. After which I check my event viewer and get this

Many times errors like this are related to incorrect permissions. maybe something on this google search will help.

Question

Apparently, the problem lies with my NT AUTHORITY/Network Service account which is getting an access denied to numerous services.
I have my security set up so that only my own and the system account have full control and nothing else is listed. Is this my problem?

This may help you to DISPLAY PAGES.

If this not work I have another trick it may help you. First click on START go to control panel click on admininistrative tools than click on services than croll down to massenger than click on it twice you will go to the massenger properties click start under service status than at the top click in log on than click enable. After that click ok. Than go back to the control panel ..... go to sevice again than click one times on messanger than look at the right under service (local) than click start than wait. After that clear all histories, files, and cookies. than restart the computer. IF this not work send me an Email I have this trick it will help you. Good luck I hope this help.
