Cox Blocks Port 80 - Got a question
As we all know port 80 is the default port for websites, but gay *** cox blocks it, just because they suck. The only way of doing this is by changing the port, but say I want to have an actual domain name like www.ihatecox.com the only way the only way it will work is if I have it like www.ihatecox.com:myport. Anyone know of getting around this and just have the url like www.ihatecox.com instead of having to put the port 86 or what ever u have it set to besdies 80.
Thanks, Billy |

Get a different level of service from Cox. They block port 80 for a reason, they don't want you to be running a webserver on their connection. Or get a different broadband that allows http.
You already know you can run IIS on a different port, so if you have more questions try a networking forum. There is absolutely nothing IIS can do to help you.
