Hello guys,
There is a problem creating Webproject using VS.NET 2003. Reason is IIS is not installed properly. But why is IIS installation creating problem?? I installed IIS through the Add new WIndows component wizard in Win XP pro, sp1. And installation does not give any errors, it completes without any problems. But the default web site Tree under does not show up in IIS console. inetpub, inetsrv everything is in place. I even tried removing VS.NET and .NET framework and installing IIS, so that atleast a normal web site with index.html would work, but no sucess. one notable thing is WWW service which gets installed along with IIS is not starting, but why...?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks, girish |

If you have any software firewall or antivirus script blocking running on the server, disable it and then try a reinstall.
Make sure you are an administrator user when you install IIS.
