Email component in IIS 6
Could anyone tell me does the email component that come with IIS 6 secure and reliable?
Currently I'm using MailEnable and it is preventing me using ASP Script to auto send emails to any external email addresses such as yahoo.com, hotmail.com and many others when I disable "Allow Local Address Sender" to prevent open relay issue. Does SMTP in IIS 6 has the same problem? Thanks.

There are settings to control relaying in the IIS smtp. In the smtp properties, look under the access tab.
I don't use the IIS smtp server myself, best I can say is give it a try & see what gets through.

I use MailEnable as well. I think what I did was assign IIS SMTP to a port other than 25, this then allows me to still use cdosys to send mail...
