Hello, I am a new begginger to web developing I am trying to create a website using Dreamweaver MX 2004 I designed a simple search page "search.asp" but everytime I run it, or any other asp for that matter, I get http error 500 i go to event viewer and this is what it gives me:
Event Type: Warning Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 36 Date: 5/29/2004 Time: 1:14:00 PM User: N/A Computer: XPpro Description: The server failed to load application ''. The error was 'The specified metadata was not found. '. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I have search endless sites till my eyes bleed to no avail. One site told me to run synciwam.vbs /v so this is the outcome of that: IIS Aplications Defined: Name, AppIsolated, Package ID w3srvc,0,{3D14228C-FBE1-11d0-995D-00C04FD919C1} ROOT,0, IISHelp,2, Out of process applications defined: Count: 1 {3D14228D-FBE1-11d0-995D-00C04FC919C1} Updating Applications: Name: IIS Out-Of-Process Pooled Aplications Key: {3D14228D-FBE1-11D0-995D-00C04FC919C1} Please Help |

It sounds like you have some problem with the IIS metabase.
Search google for event id 36. Here is one possibility http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...3&Product=WinXP
