Unless you are using .Net you will need to use an upload component or class of some description.

thats not true Lafinboy, I have a chunk of code that is pure ASP,no cgi, no .NET and no extra component. It also handles multiple file upload boxes very well, so if you have like 5 upload boxes, it handles em easily...
how would I be able to send the files? as their is a lot of code, and pasting on here would be somewhat impractical (I should be able to do this tomorrow, if not, then on Monday) |

Notice the second part of my post

Which was in response to the question How do i upload image through webpage without third party tool. Whether it is a third party tool or you hack it together yourself, you still need to have some form of upload code to handle the upload process. ASP does not have built in functionality to handle uploads. There are many upload scripts, classes and components available. Some are free, some you pay for, some are pure ASP, others are COMs that require access to the server for installation and registration of the COM package. I personally use and recommend Lewis Moten's Upload Without COM v3. A free, pure ASP upload class. If you have something similar you wish to share you can post it here as a compressed (ZIP, StufIT etc) attachment to your post. |
