Hi,
I'm new the IIS and ASP.Net. Please Help! I have my own domain registered with register.com. I have static IP provided by my DSL provider. I have developed ASP.Net application on my computer and have IIS installed on machine (XP Pro). I have tested my application and it runs perfectly using localhost. After I was done with testing I called register.com to redirect my domain requests to the static IP provided by my ISP provider. Once they redirected domain requests, I was able to ping my website (which was displaying my static IP address provided by ISP). I guess everything was cool. Then I went to IIS/ComputerName/Web Sites/Default Web Site properties (Web Site tab) made following changes: 1. I left default "Description” to be “Default Web Site” 2. I changed “IP Address” to display my static IP address (provided by ISP) instead “(All Unassigned)”. 3. I left “TCP Port” to display 80. 4. and I didn’t change anything else. At this point when I go to Internet Explorer and enter my domain name I can access my web site, but when I try to access my web site from another computer, web site can not be found. I do not have any firewall software. Please help. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. |

Well, I was following an article step by step and it didn't work.
Additionally, this article is all about no-ip use, and I have my own static ip provided by ISP. Is there anyone that is running their own website from their computer, with own domain, and Static IP? Please help. Thank you for all your efforts. |

Is your domain name registered with the proper dns settings in the dns provider?

The problem was fixed by disabling window's firewall.
Thanks to all of you who helped me. Shtreber. |
