Exclamation How To Configure Smarthost ?

Hello,
On my client system the outlook works fine but the asp.net auto genetared mails are stored in the inetpub\mailroot\queue folder. I have read that i have to set the smarthost. This is first time i face about smarthost Before this i set just set the relay setting on others systems and my mails reaches to destination.

So please let me know what are the entries at my smart host. I am using IIS6 on machine and Exchange is also not installed on my machine.

The outlook is working fine with the settings below.
the incoming & outgoing smtp for outlook 192.168.0.100
suppose the pop3 account is abc@xyz.com

My systems IP address is 192.168.0.102
Please let me know the exact solution

Abhay Lakkad

I don't know IIS6. But in IIS5 you can open the IIS management console and navigate to the setting for smart host and look at the online help there.

Maybe if you mentioned what your problem is someone can help. Smarthost is a feature of the IIS SMTP server that directs all mail to another SMTP server rather than doing MX lookups on each message. The smarthost server then does the actual delivery.
