Im a new person to web servers, i have win2k server and winxp pro and i want to setup a web server using iis! how do i go about it??

IIS should be installed and enabled by default in W2K Server. Assuming your XP box is on the same LAN, try opening http://your.server.ip.address and see if you get a web page.
If the basic server is working you can use the IIS Management Console, found in the Administrative Tools off the Control Panel. You can create virtual directories and additional web sites from there. FrontPage and some other tools can create new webs for you as well. |
