IE keeps reloading HELP!!!!!

I'm trying to access my localhost page from Internet Explorer 5.5. When I click on IE it opens at least 50 windows and when it finally stops and I try to open one of the links on my webpage, it does the same thing, opens multple pages. What's wrong? It works fine on my pc, but on my laptop I'm having issues. I checkes the internet property security and I matched IIS on my laptop w/my pc. The only difference is my pc is running IE 6.0 and lap IE 5.5, both running Win2K. HELP!!!!!!
