IIS 5.0 Win 2000 Scripting Error

We use IIS 5.0 on WINdows 2000 and lately we have been getting scripting errors

A ScriptEngine threw expection 'C0000005' in 'IActiveScriptParse::ParseScriptText()' from 'CActiveScriptEngine::AddScriptlet()

and everytime we reboot IIS.

Let me know if there is a good solution.

Thanks,

Prasad

I don't have a clue about that error message, is google any help? I think the error code number often is related to some permissions problem but that's just a guess.

Thats an exception thrown by the ActiveX scripting engine.

Where are you seeing this error message?

What scripts are you running on the server? Have you tried running IIS with all scripting disabled?

Not running any scripts other than my regular asp pages...Running some vbs files on the server as AT_jobs(scheduled tasks).I see the

error randomly at any asp page and it happened 4-6 times in the last 3 weeks.

Any help is appreciated..

Thanks,

Prasad

You want the System Event Logs, do you have MMC Snap-In or Terminal Server access to the server?

I can't be specific. Get the site ID of your website anyway, it'll show up in the event description.

Just ask them to return any scripting errors.

But since I'm guessing this is a shared webhost, this wouldn't nessescarily be your problem.
