IIS 5 - Https problem

There is problem with our webserver protected with SSL security for already 2 weeks. It works via Http without problems but not with Https. I get the 'Cannot find server or DNS Error' message. But after reboot it works again for a few hours. I already contacted SSL provider but they said the problem has nothing to do with SSL security. I think the problem is related to the DNS. DNS runs on a red hat linux 9 system. Can someone give some advice what is wrong what to check? Thank you.

I don't know, but I doubt it's a DNS issue unless you're getting directed to incorrect domains. I'd look for something that may be blocking the https port in a firewall or something, but this is just a complete guess

Hi, We installed a cert on IIS 5 2 weeks ago. Last week, suddenly the https stopped working with no changes to the system and no apparent cause.

We restarted and it fixed itself, though we could never figure out why it happened.

Now yesterday after working for several days, the https did not work again. Now restart did not help, nothing helps. We get "The page cannot be displayed."

We've check the firewall, the cert itself, our IIS setup, everything we can think of.

Any idea what this can be?
