IIS 6 Document Footer

Under Web sites, properties, documents:
I have set my enabled Footers for my documents and selected the straight HTML footer page that I want to see at the end of each document. However my footer is not showing up on my web pages? But when I navigate to the actual footer.htm page I see the footer twice. So the footer does show up but only on the footer page?
Anyone have any experience with this happening?
Thanks ahead of time for your response.

I don't know IIS6, but it sounds like some kind of path problem in the settings for the footer page. Just guessing.

Lightbulb those damned footers

hey just figured out the problem from somewhere else on the i-net.... ive tried this and it works... all you need to do it just put the chunk of HTML code u want on that page in the footer.htm file and thats it... no HTML, HEAD, or BODY tags what so ever

have fun kids....

I get grief too with ASP pages

I can't get the IIS footer to work if the page being called is a .asp page rather than a .htm. This is under IIS5, but I suspect the problem is the same.

So, if I call an .htm page, the footer displays just fine. Call a .asp, and there's no footer. This explains why pcplayer gets the display twice when he views the footer: once when the .htm page is displayed and then again when the footer is added. But all the .asp pages show nothing.
