IIS Cannot start!!!!
Hi to all of you

I installed IIS 5.1 and I tried to start it. The following error appeared: "Restart attempt failed. IIS Admin service is disabled."
I have installed IIS several times with the same way but I didn't have this error.
I have to say that I have installed it as an administrator and the service (IIS Admin) is started. I also uninstalled and re-installed it but nothing.....

If anyone knows, I would be very appreciated if he/she could reply.

Hello.

What OS are you using? I believe XP Home edition does not support IIS or PWS (although there is a workaround).

Look in the Services mmc and verify your WWW service is running. If not, a firewall is a likely culprit, try turning off any firewall software while testing.

There is no such service (www). What is the exact name of the service? However, I have already tested by disable the firewall and nothing happened.

Apparently your IIS installation isn't. Try reinstalling IIS (as the local administrator).
