IIS Installation
I have just received a new computer with XPPro SP2. I am trying to install IIS (I have done it with XP Pro SP1) but I am having no success. I installed IIS -- rebooted computer -- and from the run command typed http://localhost but after a few minutes I get an error that the page cannot be displayed, check to see if service is on. The service is on. Firewall and other protection is off.
Any suggestions!? Thanks David Newberry |

Any antivirus script blocking? Doing exactly what you did works on my XP Pro SP2 box.

So what's the error? And what do you mean by a few minutes later, does everything work fine for some time?
