IIS installation after upgrading to sp2
Hello,
i have a problem installing the IIS server from the Add / Remove Windows Components dialog. I am running windows XP and i upgraded via the net to sp2. I tried to install the IIS server, but it keeps me asking for a windows XP cd with sp2 integrated, allthough I only have the original windows XP without installed sp2. I searched the net for the cab files from sp2 so i could manually point it to them, but apparently there is only an executable around.... Any help is appreciated Regards Nemlah |

IIS cannot be installed on Windows XP home edition. If you have a copy of Windows XP Professional, all you have to do is insert the CD and click on Add/Remove components on the options from the Cd. There you will check mark IIS and follow the instructions on screen.
That's all....nothing fancy. |

I have never tried installing IIS on a SP2 computer myself. Search this forum and maybe google, I do recall similar questions in the past.
