Exclamation IIS loop

Hello Neil here.

Im new to all this server stuff and im in the proccess of learning about it, so sorry about the vauge info.

Running - win 2000 advanced server sp 4

All the dns is set up properly i presume using powerd.com to run the dns. So if you click www.madshagger.co.uk (the domain pointing to the server) you will get the under construction page. Seems cool ?

Problem - i have that server and my own PC on the same network - so if i go to www.madshagger.co.uk its seems to just forward me round in like a loop to where i see the login page of my router (192.168.1.1) so i cant see my own site if i am on my own network. But i want to see my website.

How do i go about fixing this - or is it one of they things ?

Thanks Neil.

sounds like an interesting website, or maybe I'm just reading the url wrong

sounds like your internal DNS server is not configured correctly... try configuring your workstation to use the server as its DNS, and then use the DNS service in Windows 2000 server to re-point all outbound traffic that is not for the website out to your router.

I'm making some assumptions about your network setup, but am guessing that your default gateway is set up to go directly onto the internet?
