IIS not displaying pages

I use to be able to use IIS 5 on my Win2K machine, but it is no longer serving pages. I shows now requests or connected users. I can ping it, but cannot get to it using IE or VS.NET. I did have a virus a few weeks ago and downloaded the latest version of McAfee. Any ideas?

Just disable McAfee. It should do the trick.

Unfortunately I tried that and it did not work. I disabled the firewall, virus scan and the privacy service. No luck.

Can you explain a little more?
Is IE crashing every time you request pages using asp? You need to post more information.

Incomplete thought sorry about that.

When I look in Personal Web Server, at the requests and connections, it shows that no requests or connections have been made to the server. I type in http://localhost/ or http://170.0.0.1/ (that may not be the correct IP, I can't remember at the moment) and IE will appear to be looking for the site. The globe turns and the blue status bar at the bottom will move to about 1/3 to 1/2 complete. But the localhost home page does not load. I've let it sit and try for over half an hour with no luck. I'm not getting error messages, timeout messages or not responding (in Task Manager).

I do have SpywareSD, AdAwareSE and SpywareDR running on the machine, but I've disable all of them with no luck too.

Keep looking, you appear to have something blocking your IIS.

Look in the system event log and see if there is anything there that might show what's wrong.
