Iis, Sql

Hello,

This might sound bit silly but recently I am having problem with IIS and SQL servers. Is it possible to run IIS and SQL servers on same machine? I though SQL is database server which is completelly different to IIS.

Recently I have installed SQL server on my XP machine which is running perfectly alrite after few errors. but some reasons I have lost IIS server. don't know how this happen. I am sure it will work if I go down to control pannel and install it again. any view about this topic. how come IIS server stop working?

IIS and SQL Server can be installed and will operate on the same server. When you say you have "lost IIS server", what do you mean?

Hi,

before an installation of SQL server I was able to run webpages by typing localhost/... and pages used to come up but now it gives error. Inetpub folder is there but when I go down to control panel >add/remove program it shows IIS part unticked.

What are the errors?

Incorrect coding of database asp pages can cause IIS to lose resources and then quit after some time.
