Hi,
Not sure what is going on, I code asp.net within DotNetNuke using visual studio. All was well and working ok, then I installed some new Antivirus McAfee and I can no longer access localhost, it simply hangs. I read on another post that I should turn off script blocking, and I have done that but still it hangs either directly from iexploere or from within VS. This is a major pain in the arse as this is where I do my development from - Please help me. Thanks Simeon |

Search this forum, if I recall right there is something special you need to do to stop the mcafee script blocking.
Another possibility is you've installed some firewall that's now preventing IIS from starting, try turning off any firewall software for testing.

Ouch, this is happened to me before to. Except I have Norton AntiVirus. I had to re-install my entire computer. I have IIS working now but when I do the updates, I only update the definitions. I do think the script blocking does cause the problem but I also think the updates had caused the problem with my IIS. I remember because back then when I installed some new program updates, I began having those problems with my IIS.
