IIS Won't Work With Mounted NTFS Folder

Okay here's the deal...

I partitioned my hard drive into tons of nice little partitions. I made one 10GB for my web hosting space. I mount this partition as a folder instead of a drive at:

c:\inetpub\wwwroot

The default document setting in IIS won't work. Page not found. I set the default page to default.asp or default.php make sure the permissions are set right, and everything. What's the deal?

You've done something wrong that causes the page not found.

Here's the deal: Actual details about your problem are helpful to anyone that would like to assist you.

Did you delete the "real" c:\inetpub\wwwroot before doing your remounting of the other partition?

No as a matter of fact I left the folder there and all its contents and actually got it to mount properly to that location. I would appreciate a little more substantial help then having to battle sarcasm with sarcasm. Actual details about my problem are helpful to anyone that would like to assist me. Try telling that to Microsoft in their next roll over update package for IIS. They supply no debugging whatsoever when it comes to something specific as this and I'm not in the mood of paying for Microsoft support when they can't help me. Has anyone else run into this problem?

If I can't find a solution to this relatively soon, I'm going to finish porting everything to PHP, and switch to a more common-sense and more useful web server: Apache HTTP. I'm getting very annoyed and sick of this Micro$oft crap.

I think you'd be much happier using php. I know I'd be much happier if you did.
