I got the same problem! Im using Win XP Pro SP2 , IIS V5.1, McAfee Full Protection Package. Whenever I try to display the defaultwebsite localstart.asp page or any website which I created as test web pages on internet explorer, the connection is not established and an error message that the page cannot be found is dispalyed.
As address on internet exploere I use:- http://localhost/myApp just for an example but it still does not work! I also tried by typing in :- http://127.0.0.1/ but still nothing happened, but then when I ping 127.0.0.1 on command prompt everything is fine! Can anyone help please ![]() |

- were you administrator when you installed IIS?
- Are you using NTFS? - Is the www service running? - Do you run software firewall? (disable for testing) - Do you run antivirus script blocking? (disable for testing) |
