Losing connection to my Oracle Server
Hello

I have an ASP and .NET application (mixed code) For some reason I have noticed that now and then my oracle connetion is just not there from the web server.

Here is my environment

MS Windows 2003 Enterprise with IIS6 with a DSN to the Oracle server (using DNS names for the oracle DB)

Oracle Server 9i is running in a MS windows 200 server

For some reason I will working again I will log off the application leave for a couple of hours come back to it and it does not connect anymore.

Does anyone have any idea what causes this? Do you know of a fix?

I think it's nothing to do with the IIS... more likely network problem.
